Brahmaswaroop Mishra,36, famous as Lalit from Amazon Prime’s web series Mirzapur found dead in his bathroom of his apartment in Mumbai’s Versova where he was living alone.

On Thursday afternoon, his neighbors noticed the stench coming from his flat and informed the police.

The police found his dead body in restroom in partially decomposed condition. Police suspected the death due to cardiac arrest and denied from any foul play. However, the confirmation is still awaited.

Brahmaswaroop originally hails from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. His family members have been informed and his elder brother, Sandeep Mishra has left for Mumbai.

Brahmaswaroop started acting as theatre artist. He was graduated from Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune in 2009. In 2013, he debuted in from the movie Chor Chor Super Chor as Vava which was directed by his FTTI fellow senior K Rajesh.

Brahmaswaroop also appeared many critically acclaimed films such as Manjhi: The Mountain Man (2015), Dangal (2016) and in Kesari (2019).

Few days back he complained about chest pain, he reached the doctor solely where he was informed about minor heart attack he suffered unknowingly.

Mishra’s Mirzapur co actor, Divyenndu Sharma took to social media to express grief and wrote:  “RIP Bramha Mishra Our Lalit is no more Let’s pray for him everyone.” Divyenndu also shared a picture with him in which both of them can be seen smiling.

Amazon Prime Video also expressed condolences on the actor’s demise on Twitter: “Brahma Mishra, our Lalit. Thank you for making us laugh, thank you for making us cry. Thank you for always reminding us the loyalty & love a friendship holds. Always in our heart. RIP, brahma mishra”, Amazon said.

Mirzapur lead actor Ali Fazal also share grief and wrote on his Instagram account, “hearts broken today .. yet again.. Brahma . take care saathi . . RIP. #mirzapur …”
