The admission tests for PhD in 11 different faculties of AMU will commence from 21 August to 29 August in Aligarh.

After a long delay of a year, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is all prepared to conduct its PhD entrance examinations in the last week of August. University released the schedule for admission test dates on 26 July 2021.
The university will offer admission to PhD programmes in 11 different faculties. The admission tests will commence from 21 August to 29 August in Aligarh. The students have been notified that considering the COVID-19 pandemic, residential and dining hall facilities will remain close. Therefore, students have to make self arrangements for boarding and lodging for the entrance examinations.

The entrance examinations of various universities across India were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic until further orders from the government. However, seeing the situation easing, universities began proceeding with the admission processes.
Delhi’s Jamia Milia Islamia conducted its PhD entrance examinations in June. Though, few universities have still not released any notification regarding their PhD entrance examinations.
Although the students are breathing a sigh of relief, still the COVID-19’s third wave speculations are around the corner. It is a cause of concern as, despite the vaccination drive, the pandemic is still raging.
The COVID-19 pandemic has halted the Indian education system affecting lakhs of students in India. Everything still seems uncertain, whereas the institutions are trying their level to ease quality education for students.
