Girish Malik is a well-known Bollywood director who had recently directed Sanjay Dutt starrer film ‘Torbaaz’.
Bollywood director, Girish Mallik’s son, Mannan, 18 allegedly killed himself on Friday by jumping off a building, in Andheri West, after being stopped by his father from consuming excessive alcohol during Holi celebration.
According to the police, during the Holi celebration, Mannan had consumed alcohol and continued even after going home. His father asked him to stop drinking. Soon after, Mannan started misbehaving with his mother prompting Girish scolding him to behave. After being scolded by his father, Mannan left for his room.
Later disgruntled Mannan, in the absence of his parents took the tragic step and jumped off the 5th floor from the Oberoi Springs apartment. He was taken to the Kokilaben Dhirubha Ambani Hospital where doctors declared him dead, the police said.

According to a source, the incident took place around 5 p.m. in the evening.
Girish Mallik’s family friend has confirmed the incident. He said that Mr. Mallik’s son is no more in the world, but I can’t say what really had happened that day. We all are in shock and pain and in no condition to say anymore.

Amboli police has registered a case of accidental death in the matter.
