In a tweet, Chitra Tripathi said, “Where am I today, and where will I be in the Aaj Tak will always be with me. Let me put an end to my four and a half years association with the country’s biggest and most illustrious establishment. Many thanks to all my friends of Aaj Tak. What you taught will guide my life forever…”

At Aaj Tak, Chitra was working as deputy editor and hosted many shows such as Dangal, Shankhnaad, Bullet Reporter for the channel.
Tripathi began her career with Gorakhpur Doordarshan in 2005. She has worked for several news channels, including Sahara India, India News, News 24, ETV Network, and ABP News.
In 2015, she received the Ramnath Goenka Award for her coverage of Kashmir.
She is particularly well-known for her work on the Aaj Tak programme Bullet Reporter, which focuses on the next election.
Chitra has covered several elections and festivals in India, including the 2017 Indian presidential election, the 2019 Indian general election, the 2019 Kumbh Mela, the 2021 West Bengal elections, the 2022 Uttar Pradesh elections, the 2022 Gyanvapi Masjid Survey, and many more.
