Professor Rubeus Hagrid was an English half-giant wizard who was born on December 6, 1928. He was the son of Mr. Hagrid and the giantess Fridwulfa, and his half-brother, the giant Grawp, was his older half-brother. Hagrid was 11 feet and 6 inches tall.
Hagrid went to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 1940 and was put in the Gryffindor house.
In Hagrid’s third year, Tom Riddle accused him of opening the Chamber of Secrets using his pet Acromantula to strike several Muggle-born students, killing one of them.

In 1991, Hagrid was asked to show Harry Potter to the wizarding world again.
After Professor Silvanus Kettleburn retired in 1993, Hagrid would take over his job as a professor of ‘Care of Magical Creatures’. Hagrid fought in several battles of the First and Second Wizarding Wars, including the Battle of Hogwarts in 1998. He was a member of both the original Order of the Phoenix and the new Order of the Phoenix.
Role of Hagrid after the great War of Hogwarts
After the war, it’s likely that Hagrid kept in touch with the three— Harry, Ron and Hermione. By 2017, he was still alive and probably still teaching and taking care of his jobs at Hogwarts as a gamekeeper. When Harry’s son Albus Severus started school, Harry invited him to tea, just like Hagrid invited his father and his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger during their school days.
