A video is doing rounds on internet that shows that Duty Magistrate of Haryana’s Karnal ordering the police personnel to break the head of farmers if they try to breach the barricading ahead of farmers protest.
In a video, the magistrate told the police to use the batons on farmers and you don’t need any permission. We have enough forces, and won’t let the farmers breach the barricading.
Sharing the video, Tehseen Poonawalla wrote on his twitter wall, “Pls see this video: An official in #Karnal ordering the @PoliceKarnal to “break the heads” of protesting farmers. The official then repeats his order of breaking the heads of protesters! Is this legal? BTW my India is celebrating #AzadiKaAmritMahotsav ! @mlkhattar @cmohry.”
He urged the chief minister of Haryana to look into the matter.
He further added, “What’s shocking is the officer tells #HaryanaPolice – he is the duty magistrate and is ordering the police to “break the heads” of protesters! He repeats this order that no one should cross the line & if crossed, that person’s head must be smashed/ broken!”
Following this order, Karnal Police have lathicharged several farmers protesting against the egregious farm laws. Recently, farmers have completed nine months of their protest against the farm laws.
In response to the lathicharge, Farmers have blocked the Highways leading to the state.
Gurnam Singh Charuni, Bharatiya Kisan Union leader has called for blocking all highways in the state to protest against the lathicharge on farmers. “We slam the BJP government for using police force on farmers once again. I request all farmers to come out and block all highways in the state,” Charuni said.
