On this day in 1955 one of the smartest minds was born. We are talking about the Apple’s founder Steve Jobs. He transformed Apple into the world’s most valuable corporation while also transforming a number of other industries. Steve Jobs, the man who launched the personal computer revolution, was a visionary who was well-known to everyone. We’ve all heard of Steve Jobs, the entrepreneur and innovator. But there was a lot more to this King of Technology than you probably realized.

He was a college dropout

Steve was a college dropout who only spent 18 months at Reeds College. He maintained his schooling by auditing classes on the side. Calligraphy was the course at Reeds that drew him in the most. He used to audit calligraphy classes, which had a notable influence on Apple’s typeface and font.

His lifestyle choices may have given rise to the term ‘Apple’

There has been a lot of discussion regarding how Steve Jobs chose the company’s name. However, it is said that as a fruitarian, he used to harvest fruits from organic farms. During one of these visits, he had the idea to call his firm Apple.

He got sacked from Apple once

Even though he was fired from his own company, he saw it as a blessing in disguise and returned as CEO in 1997. He later stated that the mood was extremely liberating, and that it was his most creative moment.

He has a team dedicated to studying emotions

Jobs has a team dedicated to researching the thrill and emotion associated with opening a box and discovering the products. This is a frequent reaction to Apple products today.

He patented all his creations

Steve Jobs was the owner of around 300 patents. The Apple store’s glass staircase is one such trademarked enticement that draws passers-by inside.

Jobs was Adopted

Steve Jobs was adopted shortly after he was born. Jobs was half-Arab biologically. His mother was American and his biological father was Syrian. Jobs’ biological parents specified that he be adopted by two college-educated individuals. Later, his biological parents discovered that neither Clara nor Paul Jobs had ever attended college, but the adoption was approved because Steve Jobs was promised a higher education (funny considering that Jobs chose to become a college dropout).
