On August 20, a rape attempt was made on a 90-year-old woman by a 22-year-old in Uttar Pradesh’s Balia, according to authorities.

All the limits of inhumanity and impudence have been crossed when a drunken man allegedly raped a 70-year-old woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Fatehpur district, and another man attempted to rape a 98-year-old woman in Ballia district, respective district police said on Monday.
Both suspects have been arrested. On August 30, a nonagenarian woman was at her house in Ballia’s Rasda when the 22-year-old attempted to rape her, according to authorities.
According to SHO Nagesh Upadhyay, an FIR was filed in the case on Monday, and the culprit, Sonu, was apprehended shortly after.

The woman’s family claimed that the police initially declined to file the case, but did so after an outcry on social media.
The woman who was allegedly raped in Fatehpur district was a beggar who used to sleep in a primary school building in the Tharinav police station area, according to the police.
According to Tharinav police station, SHO Nandlal Singh said Laxmi Lodhi (32) went to the school inebriated on Sunday night and reportedly raped her.
According to the SHO, Lodhi was detained after a case was filed, and the woman was taken to the hospital for medical examination.
