More than three years after the end of the original series, HBO’s massive success Game of Thrones gets its first of many planned spin-offs with the August 21 premiere of House of the Dragon.
The focus of the show will be on the Dance of the Dragons, the Targaryen civil war that occurred roughly 170 years before the events of Game of Thrones.
The series is based on Martin’s 2018 book Fire & Blood and chronicles the history of the House Targaryen.
You’re in luck if you enjoyed the music of Game of Thrones because Ramin Djawadi, two times Emmy winner, will return to provide the score.
The series, according to the Hollywood Reporter report, would include at least 17 dragons, some of which will have beards like those of tropical lizards.
The protagonist of House of the Dragon is Viserys Targaryen. but he is not, however, Daenerys’ elder, evil brother.
On contrary to that Got’s Viserys, this one actually reigns as king and occupies the Iron Throne. He is also rather popular.
However, the conflict over his intended heir leads to different groups in his court that ultimately lead to war.
