India Vaccinates 50 Cr People, Another Milestone Against Virus

India has achieved significant milestone in Covid-19 vaccination as total 50 crore doses has been administered. Nearly 50 lakh people were inoculated in last 24 hours against the Covid-19.

38628 coronavirus cases were detected in last 24 hours, bringing the total number to 3,18,94,492 of which 3,10,55,861 people have already recovered from COVID-19 and 40,017 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. India is reporting less than 50000 cases since last 41 days.

India’s active case load stands at 4,12,153 which constitutes 1.29% of the country’s total positive Covid 19 cases.

India has conducted total over 47 crore tests so far. In last 24 hours, 17,50,081 tests have been done.

India has started its vaccination drive in January this year.

In a press release, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said, “The new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination has commenced from 21st June, 2021. The Union Government is committed to accelerating the pace and expanding the scope of COVID-19 vaccination throughout the country”.

“Out of the people infected since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,10,55,861 people have already recovered from COVID-19 and 40,017 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours. This constitutes an overall recovery rate of 97.37%”.
