The poster was pasted by Hindu Sena on a statue of Russian poet Alexander Pushkin in Mandi House area of New Delhi extending support for the ‘Akhand Russia’.

As the tragic news of Indian student in Ukraine Naveen Harappa Gyanagoudar getting killed in the Ukraine war by the Russian forces, Hindu Sena, on the other hand has said that it supports President Vladimar Putin and Russia for establishing ‘Akhand Russia’.
Hindu Sena, has put up posters in support of Russia as it invaded Ukraine few days ago.

Two identical posters with the same message were placed on the pedestal underneath the statue saying, “Indian Hindus are with Putin and Russia in establishing the Soviet Union. Jai ho Akhand Russia. Jai Bharat”, the Indian Express reported on March 1.
While neither the New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) nor the Delhi Police have received no complaints, officials have stated that action would be done since a public statue cannot be defiled.

Vishnu Gupta, national president of the Hindu Sena was quoted saying, “We only put-up posters to support Russia in times like these. No war is good, but if we have to choose between good and better, we would stand in support of Russia, as Russia has always been a true friend of India… We pray and support Russia getting back their old Soviet Union and the country taking all necessary action to safeguard their borders.”
“It has not come to my notice but any group cannot deface government property by putting posters. Our division concerned and officials take cognizance of such incidents as soon as they come to their notice. If the posters are still there, we will get it removed soon”, Satish Upadhyay, vice-chairman of the NDMC told the media.
For the unversed, Russia has unleashed it troops into Ukraine in order “demilitarise” the country “to defend people who had been persecuted by the Kyiv administration”.
