Cricket news site, Cricbuzz previously indicated that three start dates are being considered. The official broadcaster prefers March 26, Saturday, while the second alternative is to start the proceedings on March 27. The only difference between the two possibilities would be the number of double-header games played.

In any case, the tournament is scheduled to end on Sunday, May 29. The playoff venues have yet to be determined.

The IPL’s governing council meeting on Thursday, February 24, could make a final decision.

Due to the COVID-19 spike during  the last two seasons, the IPL (Indian Premier League) was played in the UAE (United Arab Emirates), but IPL 2022 will be held in India. There will be ten teams in the IPL 15, which will be amusing for IPL fans.

Ahmedabad Lions and Lucknow Nawabs are the two new teams who will compete in the Indian IPL 15 along with Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
