Jamia PhD Scam: The Jamia Millia Islamia authority is hell-bent on its dubious admission process that disqualified 8 PhD candidates without mentioning any reason.
The university had invited a total of 19 students — 11 under exempted category and 8 under the entrance test category for admission to PhD course at JMI’s Mass Communication Research Centre in reference to the entrance test conducted on May 27.
Upon reaching the concerned department 8 selected candidates out of a total 19 were told that their candidature has been cancelled and a separate list of selected candidates was released without specifying the reason for cancelling my candidature.
The students are protesting against the “biased” selection of candidates for the PhD admission at the AJK Mass Communication Research Centre.
One of the protesting candidates said that the administration is biased in its admission system as it is not ready to specify the reason why they have cancelled their admission.
“The emergence of the second list of selected candidates was shocking for all of us. Many of the students have resigned from the job of assistant professor and some of them left other universities to take admission to JMI”, said a candidate.
The candidate further said, “the authorities are not willing to take the issue seriously. Our career is at stake.”
