JEE Main Result Out: Record 44 Candidates Scored 100 Percentile, 18 Gets First Rank

The JEE Main 2021 result has been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates can access it via jeemain.nta.nic.in, the official website. The link to check the results is also available on the NTA website, which is ntaresults.nic.in.

This time, in addition to the percentage score, the NTA has also issued the candidates’ JEE Main All India Rank (AIR).

The JEE main exam was held four times this year, with two more sessions added to the engineering entrance exam to provide candidates more time and opportunities.

Record 44 Students Scored 100 Percentile While 18 Shared The First Rank

According to NTA, a total of 44 candidates secured 100 percentile in the JEE Main this year, while 18 students sharing the first rank. Pal Agarwal (Uttar Pradesh) and Kavya Chopra (Delhi) are two girls who have received AIR 1.

Duggineni Venkata Paneesh (Andhra Pradesh), Gaurab Das (Karnataka), Vaibhav Vishal (Bihar), Siddhant Mukherjee, Ruchir Bansal, Anshul Verma, Mridul Agarwal (Rajasthan), Amaiya Singhal, Komma Sharanya, Joysula Venkata Aditya (Telangana), Pasala Veera Siva, Karnam Lokesh, Kanchanapalli Rahul Naidu (Andhra Pradesh), Pulkit Goyal (Punjab) and Guramrit Singh (Chandigarh) are also included in the first rank holders list.

20 Candidates Have Been Debarred From JEE Main

A total of 20 candidates have been prohibited from taking future exams for a period of three years due to the use of unfair means. Their results have also been withheld, according to the NTA.

Highest Registrations But The Lowest Attendance

JEE main session 4 saw the most registrations but also recorded the lowest attendance. Only 481419 applicants took the JEE main exam session 4 out of a total of 767700 candidates.

The reason behind the low attendance is said to be Covid-19 pandemic as many states still are reporting huge number of cases.
