Uttar Pradesh BJP State President Swatantra Dev Singh paid a visit to Samajwadi Party patron Mulayam Singh Yadav’s home to inquire about his health where the latter invited BJP UP President to join the Samajwadi Party.

In the run up to Uttar Pradesh Elections in 2022, parties have started playing switching games. Following the order, BJP UP President Swatantra Dev Singh’s meeting with Mulayam Singh Yadav is the beginning to make political sense.
Mulayam Singh Yadav, the patron of the Samajwadi Party, may not have been able to express his condolences for the death of former Chief Minister and Governor Kalyan Singh physically, but Swatantra Dev Singh, the BJP’s state president, is believed to have invited him, to attend a memorial service for former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh on Tuesday in Lucknow.
BJP state president Swatantra Dev Singh visited his residence on Janmashtami to enquire about his health. During this meeting, Mulayam Singh Yadav also invited Swatantra Dev Singh to join the Samajwadi Party, according to a Dainik Jagran report.
Swatantra Dev Singh has invited the entire family, including Mulayam, to attend the memorial service.
On the one hand, the BJP attempted to send a message through this meeting that while having ideological differences, political etiquette is essential. On the other hand, Mulayam Singh, a political master, plays a unique political game by personally inviting Swatanterdev Singh to join the SP.
Meeting’s Picture Was Tweeted By Swatantra Dev Singh Himself
The picture of the meeting with Mulayam Singh Yadav on Janmashtami was tweeted by Swatantra Dev Singh himself. Uttar Pradesh BJP President Swatanter Dev Singh had visited Mulayam Singh Yadav’s residence yesterday.
The meeting between Mulayam Singh Yadav and Swatantra Dev Singh is very important. Actually, Mulayam Singh and Akhilesh Yadav did not attend Kalyan Singh’s last rites. The BJP had also raised this issue by questioning Mulayam and Akhilesh’s political courtesy.

This issue was first uttered by Swatantra Dev Singh. He tweeted on 24th August that Akhilesh could not come to pay homage to late Kalyan Singh at Mall Avenue, which was just one kilometre from his residence.
Akhilesh Yadav’s Retweet Swells Political Mercury
The BJP has already sent a message of political courtesy on the one hand and put the ball in the SP’s court on the Kalyan Singh issue.
After sensing this, the SP also became active in the matter going against itself. SP president Akhilesh Yadav’s retweeted a tweet by SP digital media head Manish Jagan Agarwal according to which Netaji offered Swatantra Dev to join SP.

Swatantra Dev Singh may be enraged by the BJP’s treatment of backwards and Dalits, according to the tweet. The Samajwadi Party, meanwhile, rolled the dice, linking it to Mulayam Singh Yadav’s desire to bring Swatantra Dev Singh into SP’s fold.
This appears to be Akhilesh’s counter-tactic to save his father and himself from the controversy of not being able to pay his final tribute to Kalyan Singh at his home.
