Anderson was able to flee the burning truck via a window as it swung against an inner wall and came to a halt.
He was transported by ambulance to the infield medical facility before being flown by helicopter to the hospital. He was conscious and awake.
According to a member of the NASCAR crew, Anderson sustained burns and is undergoing further assessment.
Anderson made his 5th start of the season on Saturday. He also owns a team in the Xfinity Series.
