People on the internet are searching for film actors who were once in the pre-Modi era so much critical of the UPA government over its incapability to control fuel price.
The Internet is bombarded with memes on fuel price hikes. Some on the internet are justifying the hike as a result ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, while some are criticizing the Modi government over its failure in handling inflation.
In this line, Congress protested against the fuel price hike across the nation demanding the rollover of the fuel price hike.
Congress is not alone in attacking the government over inflation, netizens are also condemning the public figures who were very vocal against India’s economic failure during the UPA government.
In this regard, people on the internet are searching for film actors who once in the pre-Modi era were so much critical of the UPA government over its incapability to control fuel prices.
A Twitter user shared a tweet by Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan in which he satirically criticized the then UPA government for fuel prices hike.
“Have u not refilled Ur fuel on petrol pump or u dnt look at the bill @SrBachchan It’s time for u to speak hope u r not biased The price of diesel petrol has reached peak ab Mumbaikar kya kare car jalaye ya car chalaye,” wrote Maharashtra minister.
Another tweet is from 2020 in which the user said, “I request @hero_cycle to deliver an immaculate cycle for our beloved actor Akshay Kumar who is being afflicted by the sudden fuel price hike.”
“Anupam Kher is not bothered about fuel price nowadays because it is covered by PMCares fund these days,” wrote another user.
Recently, Ramdev’s pre-2014 video is also doing a round on social media in which he can be heard saying that if Modi comes to power in 2014, Petrol will be available at rate of 40 rupees per liter.
People on the internet are also criticizing Ramdev for his harsh language against the journalist who tried to elicit his response on the fuel price hikes and his statement given in Modi’s favor.
In 2021, Congress workers had put on Amitabh Bachchan’s mask and questioned the actor’s silence over recent fuel prices. Along with Bachchan, The Kashmir Files actor, Anupam Kher, Akshaya Kumar, and Yoga instructor Ramdev were on the target.
