As the hijab dispute continued to appear in various ways across Karnataka. An invigilator was suspended on Monday for wearing the headscarf and arguing with exam administrators in favour of permitting Muslim girls to wear the Hijab and enter classrooms.

Noor Fathima, an invigilator at Bengaluru’s Siddaganga School, was suspended after she was accused of trying to violate exam authorities’ directives on hijab limits.

News portal Hindustan Times quoted V Ramesh, the Block Education Officer of Bengaluru North as saying, “She was only relieved from her duties even before the exams began. She had an argument with the chief superintendent who was instructing students not to enter classes with the hijab. Since she did not oblige, she was relieved from her duties.”

Several other kids in Karnataka skipped the 10th grade examinations due to the ban, opting to suffer the outcome of one of the most significant steps in their education for their religious beliefs.

After being denied entry to class with the Hijab, one student in Bagalkote’s Ilkal refused to take her examinations on Monday.

The most of girls in Karnataka were seen removing their hijab inside separate rooms on campus before sitting for their 10th SSLC examinations.

Since the Karnataka government is adamant about not allowing students to take examinations in class with Hijab, numerous youngsters have been made to remove their hijab on campus before getting entry to the examination halls.

According to the Karnataka primary and secondary education department, 848,405 pupils were present for the SSLC examinations, while 20,994 students were missing.

Students who declined to sit examinations due to the hijab ban were not given a breakup by the state administration.

Minister for primary and secondary education in Karnataka, BC Nagesh said on Monday, “While running a system, we have to frame rules and act according to them. The government cannot fulfil (the demands) of individuals. It is our duty to live within that system.”

The Minister added, “the education department is not the only one who spoke on this system but a notification was addressed by the state’s highest body (Karnataka HC) and even if this is questioned, we have to feel sad firstly because they are forgoing their exams and also because they are not acting as citizens of this country.”
