On the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor, he said, “Our image was that of importing defence equipment and depending on other countries. Now, we are working towards becoming a top defence equipment exporter.”
He added, “We will work on manufacturing drones, defence packaging, small weapons, among other things.”

Politics Behind The University Setup
The government’s decision to name the institution after the prominent Jat leader is regarded as part of the BJP’s attempt to win over the dissatisfied group of farmers in the area ahead of the state’s key assembly elections early next year.
A segment of Jats, who reside in large numbers in western Uttar Pradesh, are said to be dissatisfied with the BJP’s handling of farmer issues.
