Eileen Ryan was 94 and was at home at the time of her death.
Ryan was known for her role in “At Close Range” and “The Crossing Guard”.
Ryan was born on October 16 in the year of 1927.
The actor died just a few days before her 95th birthday.
She was born in New York to dentist Amerigo Giuseppe Annucci and nurse Rose Isabel.
Apart from in “At Close Range” and “The Crossing Guard”, her notable works include “Winter People,” “Judgement in Berlin,” “Parenthood,” “Magnolia,” “Feast,” “The Pledge,” “Anywhere but Here,” “The Assassination of Richard Nixon,” “All the King’s Men,” “A Shape of Error,” “I Am Sam” and “The Indian Runner.”
She last appeared in 2016’s romantic drama-comedy “Rules Don’t Apply”.

Ryan co-starred in the 1986 film “At Close Range” with her sons Sean and Chris, as the brothers’ grandmother. She also appears in Sean’s directorial debut, The Crossing Guard. Ryan appeared on Broadway as Evie in Sing Till Tomorrow (1953) and Lorraine in Comes a Day (1958).
She was Madonna’s mother-in-law during her son Sean’s first marriage, which lasted from 1985 to 1989. She was also the mother-in-law of American actress Robin Wright during her marriage to Sean between 1996 and 2010. Through Sean, she was the mother-in-law of Australian-American model and actress Leila George from 2020 until 2022.
