In a very bold marketing move, HBO has launched the first episode of the House of the Dragon on YouTube for free.
House of the Dragon has already performed well on HBO in terms of views and critics have also responded positively to the web series.
The move came in response to the launch of the Ring of Power series, a prequel to the Lord of the Rings on Amazon.
However, HBO has put some regional restrictions on the video and unfortunately, India is not the country in which you can watch it.
If you are from outside India you can take the chance with this link.
House of the Dragon is being premiered successfully on Disney+ Hotstar shattering all the previous records on OTT.
Over 20 million people in the US have already seen the first episode across linear, on-demand, and HBO Max platforms, as per HBO. The first episode of HOTD was released on August 21 on Disney+Hotstar and HBO.
House of the Dragon deals with the past of House Targaryen which we already have seen in Game of Thrones. HOTS is based on the book ‘Fire and Blood’ written by George RR Martin.
The television series will demonstrate how several Targaryen House kings ruled the seven kingdoms from the Iron Throne.
Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Fabien Frankel, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans are among the cast members of “House of the Dragon.”
Along with Miguel Sapochnik, who directed “Game of Thrones” episodes including “The Battle of Bastards” and “The Winds of Winter,” Ryan Condal is slated to serve as the program’s showrunner and executive producer.
Condal and Martin are the cocreators and executive producers of the web series. Three episodes of the series have already been launched on Disney + Hotstar.
