
Wishes from all across the country are coming in for the Bronze Medallist Lovlina Borgohain. Lovlina bagged the Bronze Medal from the country after she was defeated in semi-final by the Turkish boxer Busenaz Surmeneli on Wednesday.
From Politician to film celebrities all have thanked Borgohain for her great endeavour. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also joined the nation in thanking the star Assamese boxer.

The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind also joined the millions of people to extend his heartiest congratulation to Olympic hero. “Congratulations to Lovlina Borgohain! With your hard work and dogged determination, you have done the nation proud. Your Bronze medal in boxing at the Olympics Games will inspire the youth, especially young women, to battle with challenges and turn their dreams into reality”, President Kovind wrote on twitter.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also had the boxer on toast for his achievement. Gandhi took to twitter and wrote his congratulatory message to the player, “Congratulations to Boxer #LovlinaBorgohain! You’ve done the country proud. #DaughtersOfIndia”.
The Assam Chief Minister Biswa Hianta Sarma also wished the boxer for her feat. Biswas wrote on his twitter wall,” Congratulations to Assam’s daughter @LovlinaBorgohai for bringing home the bronze medal in #Olympics boxing. Your name will be etched in golden letters in the history of Assam. The entire nation is proud of your phenomenal achievement”.
Earlier, Assam assembly had announced that it will be adjourned the during the Borgohain’s match at the Olympics to cheer her from her state. The Assam authority is also constructing a road that leads to Borgohain’s village to honour her hard work and achievement. Road will be named after her name.
